Super Dads!
Do you know a Dad who works hard, puts his family first, always makes time for his kids, and/or gives back to our community? Tell us about him and nominate him for Super Dad of the Month!
Steve Howard is the winner of our Father's Day Contest! He won a messenger bag from DadGear. Congrats Steve!!!
Here is the entry from his wife and some fun facts about him!
"My husband! He is often called super dad by others and rightfully so! He is a very hard working sales manager for Nucor Steel. He travels nearly every week and is never really off the clock. He is always striving to do more. He just just graduated with his MBA this month. We have three daughters 5yrs, 3yrs and 1yr. Steve helps in our daughters kindergarten class every other Monday and is very involved in their little lives considering how busy he is. I work as an NICU RN two nights per week and he takes excellent care of them by himself while I am at the hospital and even plays with them and takes them places by himself when I get home so that I may get some sleep after my typical weekend shifts. He is so patient with them. I feel he has really mastered the juggling act because he still makes his health a priority and has run several marathons. He is a great role model for our kids and a real super dad. He is showing them how full a life may be especially when you cut out television! How else did you think he had time for all this."

He stays at home with his 3 boys, volunteers in his 1st grader's classroom, serves on Wed. night in the Awana children's program at his church, and works with his kids academically, helping them with their activities & completing their homework & memorization. The boys are all well-behaved and he is great about keeping them on a schedule and is always reliable--follows through with meetings and commitments.

I would like to nominate my awesome husband, Richard, as Super Dad! There aren't many words to describe what he has done for his family, but I can only try. When our daughter was born born 7 years ago, he was a full time college student working two jobs. He was so excited for our baby that on weekends he would search garage sales for old furniture he could convert to baby furniture since we couldn't afford any on a student budget. When Isabella finally came into our world, he was the one who taught me everything I needed to know from changing diapers to letting things go (I was a very nervous new mom). We couldn't have had the full life we have now without him! Now, as two professionals and Isabella turning 8 this year, we are expecting our second child. I can see Richard's eye glow with the thought of having another little one in our family. He coaches soccer for Isabella, will never miss a wrestling match with her every night, and often must be the mommy in the evenings with my busy work schedule. He is truly a Super Dad in our family. Thanks for letting me share our story!
